Democrat Presidential Nominee Joe Biden released a $2 trillion dollar plan for clean energy revolution and environmental justice. The plan is part of his Build Back Better agenda and focuses on ways to scale up investment and innovation into the American economy.
From the plan: “Biden believes the Green New Deal is a crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face. It powerfully captures two basic truths, which are at the core of his plan: (1) the United States urgently needs to embrace greater ambition on an epic scale to meet the scope of this challenge, and (2) our environment and our economy are completely and totally connected.”
Some of the major points from the plan include putting the United States on a plan for 100% clean energy with zero emissions by no later than 2050, building a stronger, more resilient nation, unifying the world in the fight against climate change, standing up to polluters, and helping workers across the country.
